The Muskoka Kitchen

This renovation began on the original cottage footings, which meant the layout needed to work hard without feeling crowded. Rethinking the plan early allowed for proper work zones and generous circulation so the family could move easily between the fridge, range and sink. A dedicated entertaining area was added as well, creating a natural spot for morning coffee, evening cocktails and everything in between.

The finishes draw directly from the surrounding landscape. Warm wood floors, soft blue cabinetry and a shoreline-inspired stone palette bring the outdoors into the heart of the home. Expansive windows fill the space with daylight, while layered lighting keeps the mood relaxed and inviting after dark.

The result is a contemporary Muskoka kitchen designed for real life, calm, functional and deeply connected to its setting.
